“Strengthening the potential of firefighters in the fight against fires in non-urbanized areas” (SCFFNA) is an Erasmus+ initiative aimed at strengthening the capacities of fire brigades in the prevention, management and extinguishing of fires in forest, rural and non-urbanized areas.
The project aims to systematically improve the qualifications of firefighters from the State Fire Service of Poland and to contribute to the development of common European standards for cooperation in firefighting. In response to the growing challenges associated with forest and rural fires, this initiative promotes specialized training, knowledge exchange and international collaboration among professionals in the sector.
The knowledge and experience acquired will be applied both in future rescue operations and in the training of new firefighters, thereby strengthening response capacity in emergencies in natural and rural environments.
The project includes three main actions: training workshops in Spain for firefighters specialized in forest firefighting tasks, a three-day practical activity in Poland, and an international conference in Poland focused on the challenges, problems and opportunities related to fires in rural areas.
Through this Erasmus+ project, the Foundation contributes to promoting training, international cooperation and the improvement of emergency services’ capacities in response to fires in non-urbanized areas.
