The Marie Skłodowska Curie Actions, part of the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Programme, selected to fund this research Innovative Training Network on Integrated Fire Management (IFM). PyroLife supported 15 Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) to carry out interdisciplinary research projects within an international netwrok of experts in wildfires. The projects aimed to advance IFM with a holistic vision. PyroLife promoted creativity among its participants to propose innovative strategies for wildfire risk management. A key goal of the initiative was to advance intersectorial and transferable knowledge and maximise the employability of the ESRs. PyroLife was a unique project within the global wildfire network, and contributed innovative ideas from a wide range of fields during a critical time in wildfire research.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme MSCA-ITN-2019 – Innovative Training Networks under grant agreement No 860787
