We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Communications Officer to support the planning, coordination, and execution of communication activities across European-funded projects. The ideal candidate will ensure clear, consistent, and effective communication among internal teams, partners, stakeholders, and the public
The selected candidate will work in close collaboration with the Communications and Project areas, giving support to the project communication actions to be implemented according to the Communication and Dissemination work package of the projects. S/he will have the key role in the communication management of European projects, and in ensuring that the projects inform public knowledge.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Coordination for the communications tasks of European-funded projects and other projects.
- Prepare and distribute project updates, reports, presentations, newsletters, and briefing materials.
- Support project managers in stakeholder engagement and information sharing.
- Track communication KPIs and prepare analytics reports.
- Translate into plain language the scientific and technical knowledge developed in the projects and create outreach materials.
- Content creation and dissemination through different channels, including social media management.
- Support on the organisation of project conferences, webinars and workshops.
- Participation in external conferences and other events.
- Preparation of press releases and support material for national and international media.
Requirements of the candidate
- University degree, preferable in life/environmental sciences or forest or Science Communications.
- Proven experience in project Communications.
- Excellent communication skills and proven experience in science communication.
- Demonstrated ability to write technical reports.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, Spanish and Catalan.
- Demonstrated organisational skills and interpersonal skills, to work independently and as part of a team.
Other requirements to consider
- Previous experience in European-funded projects is an advantage.
- Previous work in environmental topics, and more specifically wildfires.
- Experience with content management systems, social media platforms, or design tools.
Employment conditions
- Gross annual salary is €35.000
- Location: Partially home based and partially at the PCF Headquarters in Taradell (Barcelona, Spain).
- Immediate incorporation.
The successful candidate will become part of the PCF executive team.
