They are more frequent, more intense, and harder to control. In response to this situation, the <strong>Pau Costa Foundation<\/strong> launched in 2023 the <strong>Forum for Debate and Action Proposals on the Management of Large Wildfires in Spain<\/strong>. The outcome is a unique consensus document that outlines seven areas of action \u2014 forest management, territorial planning, vibrant rural communities, the use of fire, education and communication, wildfire suppression, and future scenarios \u2014 along with three cross-cutting themes: governance, nature conservation, and climate change. The document sets specific short-, medium-, and long-term objectives.<\/p><p>On September 4, <strong>experts will analyze the current situation, provide responses to the 2025 wildfires, and present action proposals<\/strong> aimed at driving a paradigm shift in fire management.
