Clearly, Spain faces a complex problem that is worsening daily with climate change. Large wildfires occupy the front pages of the information, feed the social networks, and the civil society demands solutions. It is demonstrated that simple solutions, based on beliefs and myths, are no longer useful, both discourses are biased and sometimes ignore science and experience. As a society, we have the responsibility to decide how to deal with a serious situation, which, according to all the forecasts, will tend to worsen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this reason, over six months, more than 60 experts from the forest fire community, coordinated by the Pau Costa Foundation, will be working to identify those urgent needs and commitments that will be made in the face of large wildfires. To draw up some conclusions, in March 2023 Madrid will gather in two intense days, to the Forum of debate and proposals for action for the management of large wildfires in Spain. The conclusions of this work were compiled in the “Declaration on the management of large wildfires in Spain<\/a>” and have been presented publicly to different autonomous communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This time we present the Declaration publicly to Arag\u00f3, in collaboration with the Fundaci\u00f3n para la Conservaci\u00f3n del Quebrantahuesos.<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
