Action promoted by the Pau Costa Foundation and the Butcher's Guild of the Girona regions within the framework of the project Prescribed Silvopastoral.
On November 20, this meeting was held in which a total of 24 people participated representing cattle ranchers, butchers, firefighters, local veterinarians, local forestry engineers, rural agents, the Mas Pi de Verges restaurant (Baix Empordà), and the team Project technician
The planned agenda was followed, making: a presentation wheel of the participants; general presentation of the project and the attached documentation; presentation of the 4 pilot tests of prescribed silvopastoral; presentation of the draft prescribed grazing plan; and presentation of the graphic image and the local campaign to promote silvopastoral products prescribed in 6 butcher shops and 1 restaurant.
The main agreements taken, and the notes and issues made by the different actors involved will be used to plan the new steps of the project. The results will be made public as they materialize.
New meetings and upcoming activities: the promoting entities of this initiative, want to continue the collegiate monitoring of the project with a new meeting in January or February 2018.
