Reinforcing civil protection capabilities into multi-hazard risk assessment under climate change

Natural disaster risk management is becoming more complex due to climate change, and consequently decision-making processes have to deal with higher levels of uncertainty. Including the response phase requirements in the risk assessment and planning phases contributes to reinforcing natural disaster risk reduction strategies.

Based on the above, the RECIPE project seeks to develop operational recommendations and tools to strengthen civil protection in emergency management and risk planning for different natural risks across Europe, while also addressing the impact of climate change through of an integrated risk management approach, through the exchange of lessons learned and good practices.
