The Association for the Ecology of Fire (AFE) and the Pau Costa Foundation (PCF) organize together with the Tuscany Region and the University of Florence this conference in Florence for professionals in forest fire management. Both European and international professionals are expected to meet in Florence to share science and experience in fire ecology. This meeting took place from June 6 to 9, 2017 in Barcelona.
The Pau Costa Foundation pioneered the co-organization of the Wildland Fire Safety Summit in Europe. This event, organized annually by the International Association of Wildland Fires, brings together international experts to discuss issues related to forest fire safety. On January 31, 2018, more than 3oo experts from 30 countries met in Barcelona to share knowledge and experience in this field.
The International Congress on Prescribed Fire was organized together with the University of Barcelona and Bombers of the Generalitat de Catalunya, from February 1 to 3, 2017. The more than 300 experts from different fields (science, operational, political, etc.) of 30 Different countries met for three days to discuss the issue in Barcelona and made a field trip to see the execution of a prescribed burn.
This meeting lasted three days, from May 8 to 10, 2014; the first dedicated to the presentations of works and two days of field sessions, where the actions of management of the territory of fire prevention, the initiatives of exploitation of forest management and the synergies arising from the collaborations in the local scope were shown.
