Solid scale fire management technical projects through the planning of forest structures and landscapes resilient to forest fires. In this sense, we have worked in different mountains and regions of Spain and Europe, defining strategic areas for fire management, those points where fire will offer an opportunity to change behavior, based on the analysis of historical fires in the area. The fires depend on the topography, meteorology and vegetation of each territory, and for this reason we have been able to verify how each case requires personalized prevention infrastructures.
Value chains in rural territories to make extensive ranching, and other traditional agricultural practices, economically sustainable in the current context of industrialization and globalization. To do this, we promote the prescribed silvopastoration in key points of the territory for fire management and thus reduce the fuel load. Subsequently, we involved different marketing channels, mainly restaurants and butchers, with the aim of giving out livestock products and finally we worked on the marketing and enhancement campaign, always seeking that the end consumer understands the added value and environmental services and social that make the herds.
Territory vulnerability studies and critical infrastructures to forest fires. We seek to identify the real risk of fire based on the analysis of the territory, historical fires and simulations to end up relating it to vulnerable elements (houses, industries, protected habitats, crops, etc.) that could generate a civil protection problem, with people and assets involved. In the same way, we also identify and seek to expand the infrastructures that facilitate the work of the firefighting service, such as roads and water points.
Participatory projects where the residents of the affected area have the opportunity to express their opinion regarding the steps to take to prevent fires in your municipality or forest massif, the treatments that must be applied and the vulnerable elements of the territory that must be protected on the day of the fire. To do this, we design participatory processes adapted to the reality of each municipality or massif through workshops and group discussions.
