#EUfire / On November 18, 19 and 20 will be held in Barcelona the Euro-Mediterranean Conference on Forest Fires organized by the Consorci Universitari Menéndez y Pelayo (CUIMPB) - Center Ernest Lluch, the Public Security Institute of Catalonia (ISPC) and the Pau Costa Foundation (FPC).
As in any other area, in the world of forest fires, the flow of information between extinction services in countries of similar climate is of paramount importance in order to establish strategies that allow forest fires to be tackled more efficiently and safely. In the Euro-Mediterranean Forest Fire Conference, experts from various fields will share their knowledge to influence the quality of forest fire extinction.
These days are intended to establish a meeting point between the operational community (extinction), private sector companies and entities that will show their advances in new technologies, forest management experts, fire ecology research centers, psychologists and journalists. All this to respond to common needs, promoting the culture of continuous learning in safety and effectiveness of work in the community of forest fires through the study of the experiences of the present and the past, to improve the future. Promoting collaboration and the ability to share knowledge in forest fires at all levels, as well as facilitating access to this knowledge.
