The IV edition of Pastured Territories is celebrated this year in Girona (September, 25-28). Within the framework of this theme, a meticulous and complete program has been drawn up to put current issues on extensive livestock farming on the table.
The objective of these days is to share experiences, make visible innovative projects and continue advancing with tools of the XNUMXst century in a traditional trade such as extensive livestock, which today is more necessary than ever, both for people and for the planet.
The conference will be organized around four main axes;
- The formation and adaptation of grazing in a changing future
- The role of women in extensive livestock
- The prevention of forest fires
- Differentiation, commercialization and innovation in products extensive
During the 4 days that will last the Conference there will be presentations such as those of Marc Castellnou, President of the PCF and GRAF Bombers of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Judit Nadal, shepherdess who will talk about livestock exploitation Grassland y Foc Ramats, among many other guests. In addition, the first day, September 25, to get ready we will project in the Truffaut rooms the documentary of "Bajo los bosqes" by Víctor Casas, and we will open a debate after its viewing, in which we will have the author of the work and the pastor Yas Recht Rasillier.
Also, there will be a showcooking, showing the traditional Catalan cuisine of the lamb. From the hand of Girona Excel·lent He will be in charge of presenting the results of the blind tasting of different lamb meats with gastronomic experts. Likewise, Josep Roca, one of the best chefs in the world will offer a tasting to the attendees of the Conference on Thursday, September 26.
All these experiences will have their final touch with a field trip to Agullana, where they will talk about the maintenance of infrastructures on forest fire risk management and silvopastoralism.
