Today our tasks on wildfire training & internationalization have been acknowledged by the ISPC (Institute of Public Security of Catalonia). This award is the result of the efforts done by all our members of the wildfire community that contribute to our project. Thanks to all!
Annually, the Institut de Seguretat Pública de Catalunya (ISPC) awards a distinction in order to recognize merits, unique circumstances or services provided to those people who, individually or collectively, have collaborated with this entity in training, study or scientific research in the field of security or have distinguished prominently in these areas.
This year, the ISPC has awarded this distinction to the Pau Costa Foundation, among others, for the continuous collaborative work with the ISPC and the School of Firefighters and Civil Protection, carried out with the aim of promoting research, creation and dissemination of knowledge related to the management of forest fires and their evolution, based on capitalizing the experience accumulated by the operational extinguishing services themselves. For their commitment to putting the ISPC and the School of Firefighters and Civil Protection in contact with other schools, entities and firefighting services in Europe to promote the exchange of knowledge and experiences, and for promoting improvement in the field of fire extinction forest fires. In summary, for their commitment to participate in the training programs of the Firefighters of the Generalitat de Catalunya that have a direct impact on the safety of their work and on the improvement of the level of efficiency in their actions.
Thank you and congratulations to all of you who are part of this Foundation!
