El Pla d\u2019Acci\u00f3 enfront dels Incendis Forestals per a Irlanda del Nord, impulsat pel ministre del DAERA<\/a>, Andrew Muir, \u00e9s un pas significatiu endavant per abordar l\u2019amena\u00e7a creixent dels incendis forestals. Desenvolupat mitjan\u00e7ant una s\u00f2lida col\u00b7laboraci\u00f3 interinstitucional sota el Marc Estrat\u00e8gic d\u2019Incendis Forestals, el pla estableix un enfocament integral per a la gesti\u00f3 dels incendis forestals a trav\u00e9s de cinc pilars clau: prevenci\u00f3, preparaci\u00f3, resposta, recuperaci\u00f3 i compliment normatiu. En conjunt, aquestes prioritats \u2014recolzades per 35 accions espec\u00edfiques\u2014 tenen com a objectiu refor\u00e7ar la capacitat i la resili\u00e8ncia regionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Com a part de la implementaci\u00f3 del pla, la Fundaci\u00f3 Pau Costa lidera un consorci internacional d\u2019experts en incendis forestals per desenvolupar un projecte espec\u00edfic de Recuperaci\u00f3 d\u2019Incendis Forestals. Aquesta iniciativa se centrar\u00e0 a millorar la resili\u00e8ncia en paisatges d\u2019alt valor i vulnerables, incloent-hi les zones d\u2019Eastern Mournes, North Antrim Hills i Carn-Glenshane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En paraules del ministre Muir: \u00abTots hem estat testimonis de les devastadores conseq\u00fc\u00e8ncies dels incendis forestals en els darrers anys, posant en perill llars, empreses i comunitats, alhora que es danyen h\u00e0bitats de muntanya vitals arreu d\u2019Irlanda del Nord. El Pla d\u2019Acci\u00f3 enfront dels Incendis Forestals estableix com treballarem conjuntament per reduir el risc mitjan\u00e7ant la implementaci\u00f3 d\u2019accions espec\u00edfiques en els anys vinents. La seva aplicaci\u00f3 ajudar\u00e0 a fer les nostres comunitats m\u00e9s resilients, augmentant la conscienciaci\u00f3 sobre els perills i proporcionant les eines per adaptar-se i mitigar els riscos d\u2019incendis forestals.\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Durant els pr\u00f2xims tres anys, la Fundaci\u00f3 i els seus socis treballaran estretament amb els actors locals \u2014des dels serveis de bombers i rescat fins als propietaris de terres, agricultors, organismes p\u00fablics i ONG\u2014 per codesenvolupar estrat\u00e8gies de gesti\u00f3 i resposta als incendis forestals adaptades a cada paisatge. Aquest enfocament col\u00b7laboratiu garanteix que el coneixement local i l\u2019experi\u00e8ncia pr\u00e0ctica s\u2019integrin amb l\u2019expertesa internacional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El projecte representa una oportunitat per avan\u00e7ar en la reducci\u00f3 del risc d\u2019incendis forestals, alhora que dona suport a objectius m\u00e9s amplis com l\u2019adaptaci\u00f3 al canvi clim\u00e0tic, la conservaci\u00f3 de la biodiversitat i la restauraci\u00f3 de torberes. Mitjan\u00e7ant el foment de la cooperaci\u00f3 intersectorial i l\u2019intercanvi de coneixement arreu d\u2019Europa, la iniciativa t\u00e9 com a objectiu refor\u00e7ar tant la capacitat local com internacional per prevenir i respondre als incendis forestals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jordi Vendrell, director de la Fundaci\u00f3 Pau Costa, va destacar la import\u00e0ncia d\u2019aquest esfor\u00e7: \u00abIrlanda del Nord demostra un alt nivell d\u2019aven\u00e7 en la gesti\u00f3 dels incendis forestals i la planificaci\u00f3 estrat\u00e8gica.
